Contrary to what the name Pupu Springs denotes, these springs have no odor. Pupu Springs is the second clearest body of water in the world and the first clearest body of water, in Nelson Lakes National Park, is also in New Zealand. We walked along a tree-covered path that crossed over a river several times and brought us to the springs.
The water was incredible! It was so clear, we could see about 12-15 feet down to the bottom.
